[Unit Project 2] How to make simple baspue cheesecake!
Do you like Basque cheesecake? I love it. Basque cheesecake is a cheesecake originating from the Basque region of Spain.
It is characterized by a well browned surface and a caramelized aroma.
This cheesecake is easy to make by simply mixing it together.
My mother was addicted to it for a while and she used to buy me Basque cheesecakes from different stores. I used to eat it with her and I fell in love with it. She started making her own cakes, which were also delicious and I used to eat them a lot. This time I would like to share the recipe with you. It's easy and quick to make, so I hope everyone will enjoy it.
Ingredients: 350 g of room temperature cream cheese, 60g of caster sugar, 50g of cane sugar, 10g of cornstarch, 4 eggs, 180g of whipping cream, 5 drops of vanilla extract
Tool: one bowl, one rubber spatula, one wet parchment sheet, one cake pan, one strainer, oven
Procedure:
- Preheat oven to 250°C
- Place 350 g of room temperature cream cheese in the bowl. Soften it with a rubber spatula unti smooth.
- Add 60g of white sugar and 50g of light brown sugar in the bowl and mix with a rubber spatula.
- Add 10g of cornstarch to the bowl and mix to eliminate lumps.
- Gradually add 4 beaten eggs to the bowl
- Put the 180g of cream in the bowl and mix it.
- Put the 5g of vanilla paste in the bowl and mix it.
- Strain the contents of the bowl and pour into the mold.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 250 degrees for 25 minutes
- Remove the baked cake from the heat and refrigerate for half a day.
- The baspue cheesecake is ready.
The key to making this Basque cheesecake is to use cream cheese that is just soft enough at room temperature and to mix the ingredients well. The mellow part of the cake is the best part, so that's what I focused on. I hope everyone will try making this cake.
